Rompin around [fall edition]

Romper: Asos Necklace: Kendra Scott Shoes: Just Fab

Who thought I would still be able to rock my rompers in the fall without tights?! These random heat waves are not on my sweater weather side to say the least, but this is the perfect piece for the chilly mornings and hot afternoons. Adding some pops of color to this black and grey long sleeve romper was the perfect way to dress it up for some weekend wear. If you don't have any necklaces or bright shoes throw on some black booties and a neon belt and its a perfect look for the changing seasons.

Casual Weekend Wear

Top: H&M Jeans: American Apparel Bralette: Asos
Bag: Target Shoes: Just Fab Sunglasses: Prada

I'm a firm believer that weekend wear can be comfy and easy yet still allow you to flaunt a great outfit. My go to is jeans and a fun top, but I always try to find a way to dress it up with a handbag or shoes, and this weekend I chose to go in the cheetah route (per usual). The handbag and shoes are inexpensive yet still give the outfit the edge it needed to dress it up and make it more fun. Not to mention the shoes are extremely comfortable if you don't want to be wobbling around in heels on your day off. Stack some arm candy, add your favorite sunnies and you're out the door.

Fall Layering

Chambray Shirt: Zara Sweater: DKNY Jeans: American Apparel
Shoes: Just Fab Purse: Philim Lim for Target Bracelets: Hm Willow Rings: Forever21

Finally some fall layering today ladies! The weather here is so touch and go but luckily I was able to get myself into a chambray shirt and a sweater today! This sweater has all the fall colors in it that I obsess over (super comfy also) and the shoes and bag were a perfect match. I am always one to go out of the fashion "box" and mix and match colors and prints but nothing is better than a casual outfit like this that comes together so easily! My chambray shirt is a staple in my fall wardrobe, and more often then not have to stop myself from wearing it multiple times a week (I'm an avid outfit repeater once I find a combo I love). I got mine at Zara but you can find them for much cheaper at places like target! These mule-like shoes are hot hot hot for fall also! Especially in the wine color I know we're all dreaming about. Hope you guys enjoy.

Blush Tones

Sweater: Garage White Top: Target Necklace: Brina Box Clutch: Zara
Shoes: Just Fab Sunglasses: Ray Ban

Despite the fall season beginning and my innate urge to wear every outfit draped in maroon and plaid, I am trying to teach myself to still utilize the lighter colors in my wardrobe. I was born a pink girl and never quite got over my "barbie stage" so I still notice myself gravitating to pieces like this sweater; which to some might seem a little "too pink" to style. I've learned that the trick is pairing these girly pieces with basics and blush tones helps to mature the outfit and still allow you to feel like the pink barbie doll you've always wanted to be. The crisp white undershirt helps to break the look up and the nude shoes (to die for!) add a little sexy to the outfit. Not to mention this gorgeous brina box necklace gives the outfit the dimension that it needs. Don't ever feel as if you have to stay in color barriers because of a seasonal change. Its all about reworking pieces and making the season your own!

Fringing around with Kidogo Kidogo

Cape: Free People Jeans: True Religion Booties: Vince Camuto
Bracelet: Sweet Amor Necklace: J Crew Ring: Forever 21
Phone Case: Kidogo Kidogo

Today is an exciting day, because not only am I wearing my favorite fall pieces but I am partnering up with Kidogo Kidogo to share their amazing mission statement and phone cases with you!
Translating to "Little by Little" in Swahili, Kidogo Kidogo is hard at work to alleviate the financial barrier that is preventing women in Tanzania from having the access to mobile technology. Every time a phone case is purchased from their website {www.kidogokidogo.com} a cell phone or phone credit is given to a woman in need. The cases themselves are even designed by Tanzanian woman Sarah Markes herself. Adorable (only $30 dollars!!) and amazing quality cell phone cases for a good cause? Who could turn that down. Make sure to check out their website!
Fringe is a huge part of my fall wardrobe and this cape is perfect for transitioning into fall, and can be brought into the colder parts of the season by layering. And not to mention these Vince Camuto booties.... so fabulous. A perfect casual fall outfit brought to you by yours truly.

Day to night sweater weather

Sweater: Express Leggings: Zara Cheetah Loafers: Target Black Booties: Target Bracelet: Hermes Body Chain: Icing Purse: H&M

Here on Hemlines and High Heels we're strong believers that leather is a basic in any woman's wardrobe and that "sweater weather" is appropriate for any occasion in the fall. Today I am taking you from day to night in one of my favorite sweaters and leather leggings. Some stray away from leather on the bottom half but I think its the perfect basic that also adds a statement piece to your look. Why wear regular leggings when you could wear leather? The first outfit was worn during the day time with the perfect pair of cheetah loafers and to transition it into a nighttime look I only had to change a few things. I grabbed the perfect black fall booties and a body chain to spice up the look and I was out the door. Not to mention both shoes are from Target! Who says you can't look fabulous on a budget?

Transitioning into Fall

Dress: DKNY Booties: H&M Necklace: Brina Box
Bracelets: Hm Willow Sunglasses: Ray Ban

Being the ultimate girly girl that I am, I'm transitioning into fall the only (and excessive might I add) way that I know how to; covered in Cheetah. I'm not ready to pack up all my dresses and bring out all the sweaters quite yet, so we're going to learn how to transition. Pairing an oversized dress with booties can do you no wrong in the changing seasons; especially when the weather is fluctuating from 50 to 75 degrees in one day. The bold pattern and long sleeves (and pockets might I add! for all you pocket crazed ladies like me) allows you to stand out with one simple piece. Add a long necklace and an arm party and you're out the door. I may be crazed with fashion and pairing pieces together, but every wardrobe deserves a beautiful easy piece like this.
